Raku Workshop With Jack Valentine
Make your very own Raku Ceramic Sculpture!
Service Description
Participants can select from a pre-made ceramic vase, sun bottle or skull stack. You will type in your choice of Raku Ceramic piece you would like to create in the booking form during checkout. If you book for multiple people, please include which items you would each like. For Example: Booking for 2 people: 1 Sun Bottle & 1 Skull Stack or 2 Vases with Small Rose Just for example. You can choose between a Vase with a small daisy or a small rose. A Vase with a medium daisy or medium rose. A skull stack or a sun bottle. Please know that the vase options are the same size, but the size of the flower is what differs. A variety of glazes will be provided, you will have 30 minutes to glaze your piece. When glazing has been completed each piece will be Raku fired on site. Your artwork will be placed in a reduction chamber during the cooling process, which will cover the piece in black soot. Participants will scrub the piece clean. Gloves will be provided and aprons are recommended. Due to the nature of the firing process class times can reach up to 2 hours, please plan accordingly. Pieces will be ready to go home at the end of the class. Dress for the weather. This event will be outside rain or shine.

Cancellation Policy
Please arrive 15 minutes early for your class to sign waivers. Arriving more than 15 minutes late to your class will result in the forfeit of your payment. To cancel, please contact Jack Pine Studio 7 days before your workshop to receive a full refund. The Raku Ceramics Workshop is a specialty class and we can not offer reschedules. Due to the nature of the firing process class times vary from an hour and a half to 2 hours, please plan accordingly. Pieces will be ready to go home at the end of the class. Dress for the weather. This event will be outside rain or shine.
